Happy Clergy Appreciation Month!  Clergy Appreciation Month takes place all October long and stems from Clergy Appreciation Day, which reminds us to celebrate the leaders in our congregations.  Many congregations take the month to celebrate all the hard work their leader has done for them and show them they care.  Whether you have a pastor, minister, or priest, Clergy Appreciation Month celebrates them all.

Running a congregation is tough work.  Your leader likely needs to be social, spiritual, and passionate.  They need to carve out time to work in the office, meet with members of the congregation, plan for your next service and worship.  On top of that, many leaders manage weddings, funerals and baptisms.

There are tons of ways to show your appreciation for all that they’ve done.

First, you can simply write them a note or tell them how much you respect them and appreciate their work.  This will go a long way and remind them that what they’re doing is making an impact on your life which carries over into the community.

Second, you can volunteer.  Your leader has a lot on his plate so volunteering time and work will likely be appreciated.  You can always clean up the church, sanctuary, offices or celebration halls.  If you have a certain skill set then you can always lend your talents to the benefit of the congregation.  For example, if you’re a photographer, capture some new photos for the church that can be used on the website, social media channels, ect.. Are you an excellent baker?  Organize a bake sale.

Third, you can gift them something.  Some leaders like chocolates, others prefer front row tickets to their favorite sporting event.  You know your pastor best.

Robe Gifting International knows how important robes are to our leaders.  They symbolize leadership, religion, and history.  Unfortunately, not every congregation is financially able to purchase new robes.  If you want to show your leader how much of an impact they’ve had on you, consider gifting them a robe or even donating financially in their name.  This act will go a long way and benefit not just you two, but an entire congregation.

ONE WORLD ONE ROBE AT A TIME

ROBE GIFTING INTL.

Gifting is not strange or foreign to our original nature. We are accustomed to gifting items to acknowledge a wide array of special events, including holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and even in instances where we applaud accomplishment. In fact, we are in an age where there is a resurgence of “paying it forward” or donating resources and materials to worthy causes.

Robe Gifting was conceived due to the decades spent in the robe manufacturing industry. Many clients often speak of the many unused robes that had just taken up space in their possession with no outlet for their reuse.

In late 2014, the concept launched into motion, meticulously developing the foundation and framework for such an endeavor. During our humble beginning, the platform went viral, and we were inundated with many robe donations. In turn, we began to accept requests, developed a process for refurbishing, and have been able to redistribute to needy groups and individuals alike. RGI has since combined the worker development and career training programs while continuing to nurture our engagement in ongoing community program initiatives. The RGI platform has proven its message, and interest has extended throughout the United States and abroad. We look forward to continuing to serve those who are adamant in their faith and display the willingness to follow the example of love.
